US Open CRACKERJACK!!!

Wow!!! what an amazing tournament the US Open is. If you read my previous post then you know that we were hoping for a cracking tournament and that is exactly what we have got.

The leaderboard is a who's who of world golf with lots of players in contention going into the third round on Saturday. Although Tiger didn't make the cut, we have a great mix of top Americans, top Europeans and a sprinkling of the Restof the World thrown in the melting pot.

The beauty of this tournament is that these guys really have to play great golf just to stay in contention and it is fantastic to see these top pros being made to work for the right to be crowned champion.

The course can give but really can take away. Just look at yesterday, Ken Ferrie was 4 under going into the last few holes only to have two double bogeys and wipe out what would have been a very good lead. Then you have Charley Hoffman who was 3 under with a few to play and then ended up finishing Even Par.

If any of the top four can put together two more rounds at Par then they have a great chance of being crowned champion on Sunday night.
