Magical Mickelson

Well, I dont know about you, but I finished watching The Masters at 2am this morning (I am in Poland after all) and congratulations to Phil Mickelson on winning his second US Masters, what a great performance it was too.

This tournament has to be one of the best majors for some time with the top players in the world all within a few strokes of each other before the start of the final round.

Mickelson had played superbly all week and all the way round there was really only one winner. One of my mates laid me 16/1 on Mickelson before the start of the tournament so I won a few quid as well.

You could see from Tigers reaction at the 18th that it was a case of "what might have been" but those two eagle putts on the back nine just did not give him a chance to get close to old leftie.

Spare a thought for Freddie Couples as well. I have not seen someone miss so many shortish putts by so little and again we could have had the oldest winner in US Masters history if a few of his early birdie putts had of dropped.

So Phill Mickelson is crowned king once again and what chance him going on to complete a grand slam, well the way he is playing it is a distinct possibility.
