Radar Golf Balls....... What next?

Hi Guys,

I know that technology in golf equipment is advancing all the time but had to reprint this article i found on World Golf News.

Imagine never losing another golf ball!!!!

RadarGolf technology can help locate lost golf balls in seconds

While Father Knows Best, he often doesn’t know where his golf balls went. But times are changing thanks to RadarGolf, an innovative findable golf ball system powered by a radio frequency microchip embedded in the core of the ball.

Recently named by Golf Today as “the best new golf ball of 2006 PGA show,” the product promises to save Dad strokes, time and frustration.

RadarGolf’s Ball Positioning System (BPS)™ technology can locate a lost golf ball in seconds. Once the
handheld device detects the high-quality, low-compression two-piece RadarGolf Ball via radio frequency, the LCD display and audio tone indicate in which direction the ball is located.

The signal continues to increase as the golfer moves closer to the ball.
The system comes with two patented Shield-It™ pouches engineered with a metallic coating, which prevent the
handheld from detecting other RadarGolf Balls not in play.

The RadarGolf system is allowed for posting U.S. Golf Association handicaps, but cannot currently be used in USGA tournament play.

“RadarGolf is the only technology of its kind that can quantitatively help golfers take strokes off of their score,” said Chris Savarese, RadarGolf president and founder. “If you’re looking for the perfect present for the golfer in your life, or for yourself to improve your own game, RadarGolf is here.”

Shoppers can currently purchase the RadarGolf System online www.golfsmith.com and www.radargolf.com as well as select The Golf Shops, (Dick’s Sporting Goods’ new concept golf shop) and The Sharper Image stores nationwide in the US.

Shipments outside of the U.S. and Canada will begin in late summer 2006.
The system, which includes one RadarGolf handheld device and carrying case, one dozen USGA-conforming RadarGolf balls, two Shield-It pouches and an instructional DVD and user manual, is priced at $249.95. Additional golf balls are priced per dozen at $39.95.

Enjoy your Golf

Richard
