Backswing or follow through

Sometimes we are very committed to try and make a nice backswing and I was reading the above article from Doug Strawbridge at GolfTEC and his idea is that the finish of the swing is vitally important.

Some people say, “Who cares what my finish looks like if the ball is going where I want it to?” The truth is that a good finish will add consistency and create better contact. The finish is also a great indicator of proper and improper swing fundamentals.

Where does a correct finish begin? The finish first starts with balance. A player should be able hold their finish by standing tall on the left side (for right handed golfers) without moving.
